Das von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderte Forschungs- und Infrastrukturprojekt „SocEnRep - Automatisierung von Reproduzierbarkeit in den Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften“ entwickelt und testet Lösungen für automatisierte Überprüfungen der Reproduzierbarkeit in der wirtschafts- und sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung. Es ist ein interdisziplinäres Kooperationsprojekt (Ökonomie, Sozialwissenschaften, Informatik), an dem neben dem CAIS auch GESIS, das RWI und die Universität Ulm beteiligt sind. Eine Verlängerung der Stelle um ein weiteres (drittes) Jahr ist gegebenenfalls in Kooperation mit GESIS möglich.
 

Beginn ab 01.10.2025 (ein späterer Zeitpunkt ist möglich) mit 75%- 100% TVL-E13 oder E14.

Die Beschäftigungsdauer ist 2 Jahre mit Option auf Verlängerung um ein weiteres Jahr.

The research and infrastructure project “SocEnRep - Automation of Reproducibility in Economics and Social Sciences” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), develops and tests solutions for automated reproducibility checks in economic and social science research. It is an interdisciplinary cooperation project (economics, social sciences, computer science) involving CAIS, GESIS, RWI, and the University of Ulm. An extension of the position for a further (third) year may be possible in cooperation with GESIS.

Start date: 1 October 2025 (a later date is possible) with 75%- 100% TVL-E13 or E14.

The employment period is two years with the option of extending for another year.

• Defining requirements for the solutions developed in the project
• Obtaining input and feedback from the community (via surveys and interviews)
• Developing training materials for the solutions developed in the project
• Documenting and disseminating the tools, data, and materials from the project
• Integrating the solutions developed in the project into existing infrastructures for reproducibility
• Writing scientific publications and presentations
• Coordinating collaboration with project partners

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Master oder äquivalent) in Informatik oder einem sozialwissenschaftlichen Fach (z.B. Kommunikationswissenschaft, Politikwissenschaft, Soziologie, Psychologie)
• Eine abgeschlossene oder weit fortgeschrittene Promotion ist wünschenswert
• Je nach Profil und Qualifikation der/des erfolgreichen Bewerber:in/Bewerbers kann die Stelle mit 75% oder 100% TVL-E13 oder E14 besetzt werden. Voraussetzung für 100% E14 ist eine abgeschlossene Promotion.
• Bewerber:innen mit einem Abschluss in Informatik sollten über gute Kenntnisse sozialwissenschaftlicher Forschung und Methoden verfügen und Bewerber:innen mit sozialwissenschaftlichem Abschluss sollten über gute Kenntnisse im Bereich Computational Methods
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse in der Programmiersprache R
• Interesse an Reproduzierbarkeit und Open Science
• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

• Completed university degree (master's or equivalent) in computer science or a social science subject (e.g., communication science, political science, sociology, psychology)
• A completed or well-advanced doctoral degree is desirable.
• Depending on the profile and qualifications of the successful applicant, the position can be filled at 75% or 100% TVL-E13 or E14. A completed doctorate is required for 100% E14.
• Applicants with a degree in computer science should have a good knowledge of social science research and methods, and applicants with a degree in social sciences should have a good knowledge of computational methods
• Very good knowledge of the R programming language
• Interest in reproducibility and open science
• Very good command of written and spoken English
